Textured stiff upholstery sponge is ideal for interior cleaning on seats, door panels and headliners. This unique hard textured upholstery sponge should be used in conjunction with Autoglym Interior Shampoo or Leather Cleaner. The upholstery sponge has been designed to be firm but not as harsh as a scrubbing brush on the vehicle’s upholstery.

Warning: It has been fashionable in recent years to use steam cleaning machines on seats and headliners, however, the steam will eventually affect the glue delaminating the material from the support structure causing the material to sag and or drop in the case of a headlining.

How To Use This Product

Seats: Spray Autoglym’s Interior Shampoo onto the seat and with a damp upholstery sponge rub with the sponge until clean, a section at a time. Then wipe the cleaned area with a damp Autoglym Chamois or a damp Micro Fibre Cloth to remove any residual dirt, shampoo or water. Rinse the sponge and cloths regularly in clean water, make sure the whole seat is cleaned to avoid spot water marks.

Headliners: You need to be a little more careful with car headliners as they can be quite delicate depending on the age, do not over wet them. Spray Autoglym’s Interior Shampoo onto the headliner and with a damp upholstery sponge wipe gently from rear to front, do not use a scrubbing action. Once clean use a damp Autoglym Chamois or a damp Micro Fibre Cloth to remove excess dirt, shampoo, or water. Rinse the sponge and cloths regularly in clean water, make sure the whole headliner is cleaned to avoid spot water marks.
